Hello everyone! WARNING - this post is very picture heavy, so be prepared. Anyway, a few weekends ago, actually the weekend before I went back to Uni, my parents and I packed a bag and drove down to York for the weekend! Why you may ask? Fun fact about Hannah - I'm half Yorkshire! My Dad was born in York and moved up to Scotland about 30 years ago, so every year or so we like to go back just to visit family there, and just because it's such a beautiful place to go!
Anyway, I took... some.. *cough* way too many *cough* pictures, so I thought I'd share them all with you, just to let you see York and all it's beauty.
Roll on the pictures!
| These pictures at first are just random snaps of walking through York. |
| Check out the Mulberry sign up there! I was straight in that shop haha. |
| I love how York has alleyways everywhere, short cuts everywhere! Totally reminds me of Hogwarts.. |
These pictures below are from Scarborough, when we went to the amusements one night!
| Lemon and Vanilla ice cream - yes please! |
| How gorgeous is this view? Am I right or am I right? |
| Candyfloss for me! |
And now onto the iPhone pictures..
| That is York Minster - ain't she a beauty? |
| Typical thing to see in York.. |
| My 5 year old inner self was bursting out when I saw this! |
| Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms - the BEST place to go for a smashing cup of tea and traditional scones and cakes and tea. Super posh and expensive but totally worth it! |
| Typical English pub - look how co-ordinated everything is.. |
| My favourite place ever. |
| GET IN MA BELLY! |
| Syrup sponge with endless amounts of custard. Yes please. |
| This is part of the old walls around York, so originally the city was built inside the walls to keep enemies out. Pretty cool huh? |
| And we are home.. |
There's just something about York that I love - the atmosphere, everyone is so friendly, the cobbled streets, how none of the old buildings match, the typical English pubs, the sheer history of the place, the fact that it is stunning.. Or the fact I'm half Yorkshire.
Seriously though, if you ever have a chance to go or want to go somewhere new, go to York, you will not be disappointed.
Anyway, that's about it for this post. I hope you enjoyed seeing all my pictures!
Have a lovely day, and don't stop smiling. :)
Hannah, xx
