FOTD + OOTD #4 - Smug Pug - 03/10/13

Hi everyone! I'm currently surrounded by books and should probably be doing my essay and report due very soon but instead I'm back with another FOTD + OOTD! This one probably won't be as detailed as usual as I do have work to get on with but I can't not show you this jumper.. Just look at it!!

First of all. Just oh my god. MY JUMPER HAS PUGS ON IT. Life = complete.

No but seriously, how cute is my jumper?! My mum actually bought it for me as a present and it's from Debenhams and I love it so much, I've been looking for a cream jumper that's thick and this just ticks all the boxes, plus it has pugs on it. What more could a girl what?!

I also just paired it with a plain white shirt from Marks and Spencers (that I got over 4 years ago! Surprised it still fits..) underneath the jumper and jeans which are years old from Dorothy Perkins.

Overall I think this is the perfect winter outfit if you pair it with a thick parka and some long brown boots - I'll be wearing this to Uni all the time!

List of make-up:

Mac Paint Pot in Painterly
L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Black Lacquer
Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in 005 Nude
No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara
Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie

I thought since I was wearing a monochrome jumper, thick winged black eyeliner would be the perfect match! I also brought out my favourite lip butter at this time of year and I've totally fallen back in love with it, I might do a review of it soon just cause I'm seriously in love. Like. I love a lipstick and a pug jumper.. What is my life?!

Anyway! I hope you enjoyed reading this ramble, I should probably get back to doing Uni work!

Have a lovely day and don't stop smiling. :)

FOTD + OOTD #3 - Mint Arrows - 26/9/13

Hello everyone! I'm back with yet again, dun dun dunnnn.. Another FOTD + OOTD! Today was kind of a lazy day/going out for tea and cake with a friend so I just kinda threw this together. Also, before I start going on about what I'm wearing etc, for some weird reason at the bottom of all my pictures they get all blurry, I must have something on my lense or something and I only saw it once I uploaded my photos onto this when I was in bed.. So sorry about that!

I thought I'd shake things up a bit and actually start off with the jewellery I wore, as I hardly ever wear any and I actually remembered for once! Without realising, I ended up going for green jewellery, with my green leather strapped watch from Fossil which has a silver face and green font and my long gold necklace with two mint arrows from Forever 21. I thought since my top was pretty plain I kinda had to spice things up a bit with some jewellery and I think it worked really well; the balance was right!

Top - Topshop
Tank Top (underneath) - Marks and Spencers
Jeans - Ralph Lauren
Bag - Longcamp Le Pliage (think it's the medium size)

It was one of those days where I was staring at the wardrobe and saw nothing, even though I have way too many clothes for my own good. I decided to bring this top out, just because it was plain white and pretty easy and comfortable to wear and I wanted to actually wear jewellery for once (shock horror!)

As you can see, it's super baggy but really clingy at the sleeves, which actually start really low down, I think I deliberately bought this top a couple of sizes too big so the shoulder part is at the middle of my arm for me, it's great and super comfy that way! Saying that, it's not an uncomfortable clingy as the material is super stretchy. My jeans are also super comfy too, they don't irritate my skin and feel tight like some do, they are just nice jeans, they do their job well!

My bag is actually my old Uni bag from first year, I just randomly brought it out again. It's such a practical bag and because it's black and brown, it goes with every single outfit I wear. It's actually quite big for being size medium, so it could easily fit all my Uni stuff (or most of it, my Uni books are massive so I'm usually carrying a couple or else I get a sore shoulder) and it has a little pouch to put your phone and stuff in so you don't lose it in your bag. Also, this bag is great for travelling as it folds up into a tiny version of itself, it's awesome as I always take it on holiday with me as my bag, if you don't get what I mean then click here and you'll see!

List of make-up:

Mac Paint Pot in Painterly
Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in 012 Bronze and 005 Nude
No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara in Black
Soap & Glory Super-Colour Fabulipstick Satin Finish in Guava Rama

As per usual I went with my standard eye and face make-up (not that I wear that much anyway) and after reviewing another Soap and Glory lipstick which you can see here I decided to bring the another one I owned out that I hadn't actually worn yet and all I'm going to say is WHY HAVE I IGNORED IT FOR THIS LONG?! A review is definitely coming soon!

So that's about it for this FOTD + OOTD, I hope you enjoyed reading it. Have you been ignoring any products recently? If you, use them, you might discover a hidden love for them that you never had before!

Have a lovely day, and don't stop smiling. :)

Night Out Look #3 - Daisy Sailor - 17/09/13

Hello everyone! I'm back with another Night Out look, I swear I'm not an alcoholic, I was just squeezing some nights out in while I could as I'm now back at Uni!

Anyway for once I thought I'd actually take pictures of the make-up products I used to create, well, my face.. However on the night I actually didn't wear face primer, foundation, or the Revlon lipstick so just ignore those. I was planning on wearing some but I asked my boyfriend what he thought and showed him and he said he preferred without foundation, so I went without! Also I haven't worn any properly in like.. over 6 months? So who knows if it even matches my skin tone now!

Apologises about the messy brushes, I'm not very neat.. They are well loved though!

List of make-up:
Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation in Believe in Me Ivory
Mac Powder Blush in Buff
Soap and Glory Lid Stuff Eyeshadow in Whats Nude
MUA Eyeshadow Palette in Undressed
Mac Paint Pot in Painterly
L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Black Lacquer
Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in 012 Bronze
No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara in Black
Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Candy Apple
Avon Lipstick in Smitten Red
Vaseline (how extravagant)

Brushes I used:
Real Techniques Starter Set 1406
Real Techniques Limited Edition Duo Libre Set

I knew I was going to wear the playsuit with a red belt (as seen below) so I was like "well I have to wear a red lip now to match it up now don't I?!" I used to think that my Revlon Lip Butter was my favourite red lip but mine has went really dodgy and I might do a review as some other shades of mine have done the same and it's so annoying.. Anyway! Now that I got my Avon lipstick free in a magazine I've never looked back, it's just gorgeous and I'm so pleased I got it for £4 (magazine was £4, lipstick was free. BARGAIN ALERT.)

I went for my staple brown matte smokey eye (Soap and Glory palette for the matte part) with dark brown/gold shimmer in the outer corners (MUA palette for the shimmer part) and black winged eyeliner as I just think it looks gorgeous no matter what you are wearing.

I also got my hair cut the day I took these photos so that's why it looks so shiny and healthy and lovely - why can't it always look like this?!

Taken on my iPhone 5, not my camera like the first 3 photos.

As for my outfit, I wore this playsuit that I got from River Island years ago, along with my staple black leather jacket from Topshop, black high top Converse and a little black shoulder bag. I just really love the print of this playsuit and I love anything with daises on it so obviously when I saw this I was like "yep okay buying this now thank you very much!" It's also just a great piece to dress up or down and I've wore this to Uni as well with an over-sized cardigan, thick tights, a scarf and the same jacket and shoes and it was great!

So that's about it for this post, I love doing these kinda FOTE/OOTE posts, they are just so fun to read and equally so fun to create! What's your staple eye look for a night out?

Have a lovely and and don't stop smiling. :)

FOTD + OOTD #2 - Knitted Lace - 13/09/13

Hello everyone! Today I'm back with another FOTD + OOTD, however I didn't realise before taking these photos and uploading them here that my outfit is really similar to the one I posted last week.. So I apologise for that but I really love this jumper so I thought I would show you anyway.

I just want to apologise for the crappy mirror outfit shots as I don't have someone to take my pictures for me and stuff.. So until I figure something out this is the best I can do!

Jeans - Dorothy Perkins

These jeans were actually a rediscovery for me from a few years ago, as a month ago I was clearing out my wardrobe and I found these, expecting them to not fit me and be uncomfy but oh my lord, these fit me perfectly and are super comfortable, I'm so annoyed at myself for shoving these at the back of my wardrobe! I've actually been needing more jeans so after rediscovering these, I've saved myself some pennies for some other treats!
Vest - Topshop
Jumper - Forever 21

The main reason I wanted to show you my outfit is this jumper - how gorgeous is it?! Again from Forever 21, the quality is amazing for probably $20 or less! I was a bit nervous as it is see-through at the front so wearing a white vest top underneath covers up my bits, however I personally think a plain white t-shirt will look better so I'm going to get one from Primark or something and see what looks better.

Anyway, the jumper is a gorgeous pale baby blue which has this beautiful lace detailed pattern at the front, and is plain at the back with long sleeves. I just think it's such a lovely print and I can't wear to wear this in the colder months with a scarf, jacket and boots!

I had to show you a closer up view to see the detailing, sorry the lighting isn't as good in this photo. The lace detailing is flowers and leaves connecting to each other with the same gorgeous pale baby blue colour and even though it's see-through I just think it'll be lovely to wear in the winter with some layers underneath, it's such a winter colour for me!

My make-up is pretty similar to my last FOTD except I went slightly more smokier on the eyes by actually using powder eyeshadow - I made the effort! Most of the time I do like to wear really natural make-up so when I'm going to a special occasion or something, dressing up and wearing more make-up feels a lot more special.

List of make-up:
Mac Paint Pot in Painterly
Soap & Glory Lid Stuff Eyeshadow Palette in Whats Nude
Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in 012 Bronze and 005 Nude
No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara in Black
Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in 063 Eastend Snob
Soap & Glory Super-Colour Fabulipstick Satin Finish in The Missing Pink

So that's about it for today, hope you enjoy reading these kinda posts. Have you rediscovered anything from your wardrobe recently?

Have a lovely day and don't stop smiling. :)

FOTD + OOTD #1 - Pretty in Pink - 07/09/13

Hello everyone! Today I'm here to show you an outfit I was wearing last week for going into town and then to dinner with my boyfriend and his family, and what make-up I was wearing.

Sorry about the lighting. :(

Top: Forever 21
Jeans: Topshop

I actually forgot I owned this top and I'm not one for wearing pink, or colours in general to be honest - if you look at my wardrobe the majority of t-shirts/shirts/jumpers are white, grey or black.. Aka my comfort zone. However, today I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and wear this gorgeous pink sweatshirt (it's not thick enough to be a jumper in my eyes) with some demin jeans. I also wore a black leather jacket that I got from Topshop years ago and some black Sperrys.

I really wanted to show a closer up picture of my top because the detailing is honestly stunning, for Forever 21 I was so impressed with the quality and detailing, considering it was something like $20 in New York.. It's a beautiful baby pink colour with scalloped edges and lace detailing (also scalloped) across the front of the top, with long sleeves (I have them rolled up) and the back is just the plain baby pink. This could be dressed up or down, paired with jeans or a skirt and heels, it's very versatile and basically I just love this top and I'm happy I rediscovered it.

List of make-up:

Mac Paint Pot in Painterly
Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hr in 35 On and on Bronze
Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in 012 Bronze and 005 Nude
No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara in Black
Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in 063 Eastend Snob
Mac Cremesheen Lipstick in Crème Cup

I had my every-day make-up on, except today I decided to smoke my eyes up a bit more, just by putting on a bit more of the Maybelline Color Tattoo and blending it into the crease/outer corner more. I also matched my lipstick to my top as I adore Crème Cup and wear it anytime I can and today seemed like the perfect opportunity!

I think that's it for this post, I hope you like these FOTD/OOTD type posts as I seem to be doing these a lot now! I hope you all have a lovely day and don't stop smiling. :)

Where The Wild Things Are - OOTD/FOTD 13/04/13

Hi everyone, I'm back from my holiday, I was in Azerbaijan! I'll do a blog post with pictures and more in depth of why I was there and what I was doing sometime this week. But for now, I thought I'd let you all see what my face and outfit were like yesterday. :)

I went for a more natural look, as recently I've been wearing really bright lipsticks, however while I was in duty free I decided to pick up Mac's Creme Cup, and I really like it so far! I also picked up Mac's Paint Pot in Painterly and another Mac lipstick, Speed Dial.

Products I'm wearing;

Mac's Paint Pot in Painterly
Rimmel's Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in Nude and Bronze
No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara
Mac's Lipstick in Creme Cup

Outfit:
Top - Topshop
Hoodie - Abercrombie and Fitch
Jeans - Topshop

I love this top, it reminds me of my childhood, and I also love this hoodie! I know it's neon orange, but I'm getting super excited for summer so I'm just fully embracing bright colours! I also love the high waisted style, so these jeans are a must have for me, and I'm going to be purchasing more very soon!

Anyway, that's about it for today. I'm currently watching New Girl so I'm going to return my full attention to it. Have a lovely day! :)
