Topshop Gypsy Night - NOTD #4

Hello everyone! Today we are here to talk about this little beauty that I picked up a month ago on a total whim, Gypsy Night by Topshop.

Picture taken on my iPhone 5.

I had never seen this nail polish before and I just spotted it at the corner of my eye, looked at it properly and went yes please *snatch*! What attracted me to this nail polish is how sparkly it is (I'm a total sucker for sparkles) and also how it was a black sparkly nail polish as I never see them! Not only is it just plain black but it has strong undertones of gold, and the sparkles are multi-coloured.. So basically I was sold just by the colour in the bottle.

The packaging is the standard glass bottle with a cute white handle with black dots with the glass clear bottom - I personally love it!

At first when I applied this it was sheer, which I've found with a lot of Topshop's nail polishes but once you put 3 coats on you get to full opacity and let me tell you that this photo does not do this nail polish justice because it is truly beautiful on the nails. The colour is even more stunning out the bottle and I got so many compliments when wearing this! I was majorly impressed with how this nail polish looked as whenever the light hits it it sparkles like there is no tomorrow, and also how long lasting it is - 5 days without a single chip! Yes, that is with a top coat on, but for £6 that is so good! It probably could have went longer if I hadn't taken it off.

Overall I am extremely impressed with this nail polish and overall with the Topshop line, I have 5 or 6 nail polishes from Topshop and they have all pretty much impressed me so far. Gypsy Night is a definite thumbs up from me and I will be wearing this so much over winter. Also, if you are interested in buying it you can get it here.

So that's about it for this blog post, hope you have enjoyed reading. If you have any suggestions of what you want to see on my blog please let me know, and let me know if you have tried any Topshop nail polishes, and if so, what's your favourite?

Hope you have a lovely day and don't stop smiling :)

  4. I love my Topshop nail varnishes, considering they are fairly cheap I always find that they last well. I agree with you about the opacity, all work better with three coats. I Loved Eyes of Steel and Phenomena - I even have a nail varnish from when they launched a make-up range in the 90's, it is still wearable!

    1. I love them, they are incredible! Oh I haven't heard of them, I'll need to look them up! I never knew they launched a make-up range then, was it good? :)

    2. I don't think they make those colours any longer, that is the only downside with Topshop nail varnish, colour trends come and go so quickly! I thought the make-up range was great back in the 90's, cheap and fun, kind of how they are today, but it must have failed as they discontinued it. The make-up range is a lot more popular this time round.

I've got a photo of the bottle and the nail varnish on my nails from earlier this year here. I just couldn't imagine a nail varnish lasting as long as this one has these days.

    3. Yeah I know what you mean, if you see a colour you need to buy it or else it'll be gone! Aw wow, that colour back then looks amazing! :)

    4. They did do quite "wild" colours back then that wasn't quite the norm with all make-up companies apart from Barry M who have always been amazing. I kind of prefer the smaller bottles although I have some from two years ago that are drying up compared to the one from 15 years ago they just don't last - possibly a good thing though as the old one smells very chemically.
