Topshop Plume - NOTD #9

Hello everyone! Sorry for being absent for the past week, Uni work has taken over my life and I have three essays due within the next few weeks. *gulps* So basically, I will be posting but not very often, I'll try to get a couple of posts up a week over the next month and a bit but no promises! However after my exams which are in December, I will be back blogging with full force! Anyway, onto the NOTD..

First of all, I want you all to just look at the beauty of this nail polish and let it sink in..

All photos taken on my iPhone 5.

Has it sunk in? Nope? SAME HERE.

I spotted this little gem online whilst I was shopping during their 20% off everything for students deal earlier this month, so I went a bit mental.. Anyway I saw this and just automatically put it in my basket and I am not disappointed in the least when I got to see it in person.

In the bottle and on the nails it is just stunning: a purple/blue base (depending on how the light hits it) with purple, blue, pink and gold shimmer and sparkle running through it. I. Can't. Get. Enough.

It applies to full opacity within 2 coats although you could easily get away with one, the staying power (as per with Topshop nail polishes) is great, lasting 5 days on my nails with little to no chips before I pick it all off and apply another one..

Honestly I can't recommend this nail polish enough, and the Topshop line in general, I love it all. There's another NOTD coming up soon with another Topshop polish which is such a gorgeous Autumn colour, so look forward to that!

Hope you guys enjoyed reading this and again sorry for the silence on my blog for a week, it sucks to have so much Uni work but hey, that's Uni for you!

Have a lovely day, and don't stop smiling. :)

FOTD + OOTD #4 - Smug Pug - 03/10/13

Hi everyone! I'm currently surrounded by books and should probably be doing my essay and report due very soon but instead I'm back with another FOTD + OOTD! This one probably won't be as detailed as usual as I do have work to get on with but I can't not show you this jumper.. Just look at it!!

First of all. Just oh my god. MY JUMPER HAS PUGS ON IT. Life = complete.

No but seriously, how cute is my jumper?! My mum actually bought it for me as a present and it's from Debenhams and I love it so much, I've been looking for a cream jumper that's thick and this just ticks all the boxes, plus it has pugs on it. What more could a girl what?!

I also just paired it with a plain white shirt from Marks and Spencers (that I got over 4 years ago! Surprised it still fits..) underneath the jumper and jeans which are years old from Dorothy Perkins.

Overall I think this is the perfect winter outfit if you pair it with a thick parka and some long brown boots - I'll be wearing this to Uni all the time!

List of make-up:

Mac Paint Pot in Painterly
L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Black Lacquer
Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in 005 Nude
No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara
Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie

I thought since I was wearing a monochrome jumper, thick winged black eyeliner would be the perfect match! I also brought out my favourite lip butter at this time of year and I've totally fallen back in love with it, I might do a review of it soon just cause I'm seriously in love. Like. I love a lipstick and a pug jumper.. What is my life?!

Anyway! I hope you enjoyed reading this ramble, I should probably get back to doing Uni work!

Have a lovely day and don't stop smiling. :)

A weekend in York.

Hello everyone! WARNING - this post is very picture heavy, so be prepared. Anyway, a few weekends ago, actually the weekend before I went back to Uni, my parents and I packed a bag and drove down to York for the weekend! Why you may ask? Fun fact about Hannah - I'm half Yorkshire! My Dad was born in York and moved up to Scotland about 30 years ago, so every year or so we like to go back just to visit family there, and just because it's such a beautiful place to go!

Anyway, I took... some.. *cough* way too many *cough* pictures, so I thought I'd share them all with you, just to let you see York and all it's beauty.

Roll on the pictures!

These pictures at first are just random snaps of walking through York.

Check out the Mulberry sign up there! I was straight in that shop haha.
I love how York has alleyways everywhere, short cuts everywhere! Totally reminds me of Hogwarts..

These pictures below are from Scarborough, when we went to the amusements one night!

Lemon and Vanilla ice cream - yes please!

How gorgeous is this view? Am I right or am I right?

Candyfloss for me!

And now onto the iPhone pictures..

That is York Minster - ain't she a beauty?

Typical thing to see in York..

My 5 year old inner self was bursting out when I saw this!

Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms - the BEST place to go for a smashing cup of tea and traditional scones and cakes and tea. Super posh and expensive but totally worth it!
Typical English pub - look how co-ordinated everything is..
My favourite place ever.
GET IN MA BELLY!
Syrup sponge with endless amounts of custard. Yes please.

This is part of the old walls around York, so originally the city was built inside the walls to keep enemies out. Pretty cool huh?

And we are home..
There's just something about York that I love - the atmosphere, everyone is so friendly, the cobbled streets, how none of the old buildings match, the typical English pubs, the sheer history of the place, the fact that it is stunning.. Or the fact I'm half Yorkshire.

Seriously though, if you ever have a chance to go or want to go somewhere new, go to York, you will not be disappointed.

Anyway, that's about it for this post. I hope you enjoyed seeing all my pictures!

Have a lovely day, and don't stop smiling. :)
