Living In Black & White - FOTD & OOTD #14 - 25/09/14

Hello everyone! Today I'm back with an OOTD that I have been wearing so much recently - monochrome! Yes, I know, I've been all about the monochrome these past few months but these leggings just make my life at the moment. Also, I apologise for the crappy quality of these photos - I took them in a mad rush before I ran out the door to go out for the day, so yeah, I hope they are okay for you all!

Outfit:

Top: H&M
Cardigan: H&M
Leggings: Topshop

I absolutely love this outfit - the black top with a mesh section from the bust up and a simple black cardigan go perfectly with these leggings, as they are subtle enough to make them stand out! The leggings are high waisted and feel like velvet and are just lovely. They are super comfortable and I really love that I can just fling on a white baggy t-shirt over them, not tucking them in or anything, and wear some boots or vans and I'm good to go! Any simplistic t-shirt/jumper would go with this, I'd stick to monochrome colours though, I feel wearing a red t-shirt for example with this would be a bit too much for me. Basically, they are so comfortable and stylish - what more do you want?

y so serious?
Make-up:

bareMinerals Prime Time Foundation Primer
bareMinerals Original SPF15 Foundation in Fair
Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden
Urban Decay Naked Palette in Sin and Buck
L'oreal Superliner Black Lacquer
Lancome Definicils Mascara
Mac Peach Blossom Lipstick

Yet again, rocking the winged eyeliner to match this monochrome outfit! The flicks were real, like they are massive - probably slightly too big for my liking but I couldn't be bothered fixing them so they had to do! I just kept the rest of my make-up pretty simple and minimal, I think it was one of those "fling make-up on your face" days.. We all have them!

So, that's about it for this post, I hope you enjoyed reading! What clothing piece are you loving at the moment? I'd love to know!

Have a lovely day, and don't stop smiling. :)

FOTD & OOTD #9 - Suitable For Paris - 20/08/14

Hello everyone! Today I'm back with another FOTD & OOTD. Quick question before we get started, I don't know whether to keep "FOTD & OOTD" in the title, to me it's starting to seem a bit messy? I don't know, I'd love to hear what you guys think. I wanted everything that was a sort of 'series' or regular post to have a title to run along with it but now I don't know whether I should just keep the ford & ootd in the tags and or do both like I've always done. Please let me know in the comments what you think is best, it would be much appreciated!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Bourbon
Lancôme Définicils Mascara
Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in 13 Rouge Jetset

I forgot I had taken these pictures, so when I was going through some pictures from when I was 14/15 and laughing at them with my Mum (it's good, you should do it some time) I came across these and remembered I wanted to write a blog post on my outfit! I recently bought this lipstick, which you can see from my haul here and desperately wanted to try it out. I need to try it out more, however I know so far that it is super glossy and very red! I can't wait to wear it more and judge how it compares to my other classic red that I always go too.

Outfit:

Hat - H&M
Dress - H&M (not on website)
Blazer - Topshop (old)
Shoes - Clarks (almost exact here)

Usually when I am only going out shopping with my parents, I wear jeans and a t-shirt. But not on this day! I went super fancy and for some reason this reminds me of something someone would wear in Paris - probably super stereotypical, but it's true, the stripes just do it for me! I love the contrast of the dress and lips to the black hat and blazer, I feel they compliment each other very well. I'll definitely be wearing this look again and trying it out with different blazers/jackets and dresses.

This outfit also reminded me that it's okay to be brave and wear something different. Often I wear what I'm comfortable in, which is jeans and a t-shirt/jumper, however this reminds me that wearing dresses is okay and with a wardrobe full of them, it's about time I give them some love!

That's about it for this post, what are you pushing yourself to wear that's maybe a bit out of your comfort zone, or if you haven't yet, then what would you want to wear that's out your comfort zone?

Have a lovely day, and don't stop smiling. :)

Night Out Look #5 - A Burst of Teal - 10/08/14

Hello everyone! Today I'm back with another Night Out Look - oooooh like what I've called this mini series thing? I decided since it's technically not a day look, and I'm going out.. At night.. It should have a more appropriate name. So there we go. Anyway, it was just a typical night out with my friends, you know, to the pub for pre drinks then to a club for more drinks and dancing etc etc.. Surprisingly didn't wake up hungover though (I am genuinely surprised, I texted my boyfriend at 4am saying "oh nooooo I don't want to be hungover :(") So yeah, now that that's out the way.. Cue pictures of my face!

Make-up:

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream in Light
Maybelline Expert Wear Blush in 62 Rosewood
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original
Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 HR Eyeshadow in Metallic Pomegranate
Urban Decay Naked Palette in Toasted & Hustle
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Bourbon
Lancôme Définicils Mascara
Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss Lipstick in 107 (with vaseline underneath to make it more glossy)

Yes, oh ehm gee, I'm actually wearing something on my face. Usually I just go for eyes and lips but I have recently been to Boots (haul coming soon) and picked up a few things in some 3 for 2 offers.. Which I will review for you all once I've used them all a few times and got a solid opinion of them (*AHEM* the bb cream, colour tattoo and blush *AHEM*). Since it was a night out I went for a smokey eye, as it is my go to look.. Especially with Toasted and Hustle from the Naked Palette, they are my favourites! You also can't beat a bit of the 107 lipstick, it's simply a beaut.

Outfit:

Top - H&M (sale)
Shorts - Topshop (sale)

I'd like to apologise for the horrifically bad photos on the outfit front - I was in a rush! Both items were in the sale so I don't think you'll be able to find them, sorry :( I've worn this top out before and what I like about it is that it isn't just a plain black tank top, it is actually sheer from your shoulders down to just about the boobage area and it has a little opening at the back - I just think it is so simple but at the same time these little details add to it and make it lovely to wear.

As for the shorts, I actually bought these the other day (again haul coming soon) and originally I thought it was a skirt, however I really do love them - they are super comfy to wear, I love how they are tight at the waist and then fan out and become baggy at the thighs and they are plaited (another cute detail), and obviously - they are bright teal, what is there not to love?! I also wore my black hi top converse with these, I just never took photos :)

Anyway, that's that for this post. I hope you enjoyed reading! What's your go to night out look, whether it be make-up or your outfit?

Have a lovely day, and don't stop smiling. :)
